Shipping & Returns
Ausley's Chevelle Parts is pleased to have some of the best service in the industry. We generally ship all of our orders the same business day that the order is received, as long as it is received before 3:00 PM EST. Otherwise, orders are shipped the next business day. If your order contains a special or custom item, such as a colored interior or a custom made wiring harness, the shipping time may be longer.
New: In order to protect our customers against fraud, we require all orders over $300.00 to ship to the billing address used during checkout. If this is an inconvenience to you, please give us a call and we can discuss methods to verify your shipping address as valid before processing the order.
In the event that an item is out of stock, it is placed on backorder. Our backorders are shipped as soon as they are received at no cost to you. We will generally place a courtesy call or email to you if your order contains a backordered item, and your paper copy invoice will show these items highlighted in yellow. Most of our customers prefer to pay for any backordered items at the time of purchase, so all orders will be processed in this manner. If you do not wish to pay for your backorders until they are shipped, please advise your salesperson.
Most of our items are shipped by FedEx or UPS. FedEx is our preferred shipping provider for standard residential or business ground shipments. Our shipping volume allows us to offer extremely competitive rates on all shipping options. Furthermore, we do not overcharge our customers for shipping – what you pay is what it actually costs us to ship the item to your door. Due to this policy, our website may not show shipping costs. If you have a question about shipping costs, please give us a call for an exact quote.
Any orders shipped by freight carriers must be opened in the presence of the carrier. If any items are damaged, or if the boxes are damaged, that damage must be noted by the carrier and the shipment must be refused. If you do not inspect your shipment or fail to note any damage before signing for your items, the trucking company is released from any responsibility or claim and there may be no recourse for resolving damage issues. All sheet metal orders are carefully inspected and packaged by our experienced shipping staff. We generally build our own pallets to specifically accommodate your order and to facilitate safe and economical shipping for you. These pallets leave our facility in perfect condition, so if there is any damage, it must be noted before signing to release the item from the carrier.
International Orders (including Canada)
While Ausley's Chevelle Parts is happy to serve any customer, anywhere in the world be aware that shipping internationally comes with certain challenges. To protect all parties involved from potential fraud, we do not accept credit card payments for international customers when the order is over $500.00 in value -- those payments must be made either with PayPal or direct bank/wire transfer.
Additionally, when shipping to an address that is different than the customer's final billing location (e.g., shipping to a proxy in the US for Canadian customers, or shipping to a broker in the US who is forwarding the order to its final destination in Europe or elsewhere), we cannot be held liable or responsible for any damage incurred after the item is delivered to its initial shipping location. Any issues incurred with the order in delivering it from its proxy location to its final destination are not the responsibility of Ausley's Chevelle Parts.
Also, please be aware that international customers are always responsible for paying return shipping in order to replace or refund any items. Ausley's Chevelle Parts will not pay return shipping charges for international (outside the US) customers for any reason.
Ausley's Chevelle Parts is proud to offer one of the best return policies in the industry. We will accept any return within 30 days of purchase as long as the item is in resellable condition. Resellable condition is defined as when an item meets the following criteria:
- Unopened in the original packaging, OR
- Unused or uninstalled and not modified in any way, complete with all components and pieces.
Modification includes any painting, gluing, welding, screwing into or cutting on, etc.
As long as your return meets one of these two criteria, you will most likely receive a full in-store credit toward future purchases OR a refund.
No return will be accepted without a call or email to us to receive an authorization number. You may send back any item at your own expense but you are responsible for repackaging the item such that it is returned to us in a safe way.
Return of damaged or modified items may be rejected completely or assessed a restocking fee, to be determined by our return staff.
Returns of items ordered by mistake or no longer needed will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.
No returns of custom or special order items, including colored interior, wiring harnesses or electrical parts or any other custom or special order item will be accepted.
