Why Trust Ausley’s Chevelle Parts
At Ausley’s Chevelle Parts, we specialise in classic Chevy restoration and performance upgrades. When you’re restoring a Bel Air, trust matters: we don’t just sell parts, we provide expertise. Here’s why our customers choose us:
-
Precise match-up: We’ll help you choose the correct finish and configuration for your hood (stock steel or aftermarket), ensuring the hinge kit installs cleanly and aligns properly.
-
Installation insight: Beyond just shipping parts, we offer tips and guidance to fine-tune adjustability—because even the best hinge kit can look imperfect if hood gaps or latch alignment are off.
-
Restorers’ support: From ordering to final fit-up, we’re here to back your project—so your Bel Air shows and drives like it deserves.
Installation & Fitment Notes
The kit is sold as a pair and installs in place of your original hinges. Because the 6-axis adjustment is built in, you’ll be able to dial in hood closure fit – pitch, yaw, roll and translational shift. Note: The manufacturer specifies a minimum of 5/16″ clearance between the back of the hood and the cowl for optimal function.
Make sure your hood mounting surfaces are straight and your latch mechanism aligns correctly, as these factors critically affect final gap adjustment.
